The Abelard Foundation is a family foundation which has been making grants to non-profit organizations across the United States in support of progressive social change since 1958.

For over 50 years, the Abelard Foundation has supported early stage grassroot groups and community organizers striving to establish a more equitable society. The Foundation is comprised of two offices on either coast and grantmaking is subsequently split by the Mississippi River.
